Voluntary recall of the BABY-SAFE PRO

Britax Römer is voluntarily recalling a limited population of BABY-SAFE PRO products manufactured between 26 December 2025 and 30 September 2026, which contain buckles from a single manufacturing batch. Not all BABY-SAFE PRO infant carriers produced during this period are affected. The recall follows a reported Stiftung Warentest result that occurred only when the carrier was used in its most reclined position on the VARIO BASE 5Z; no issue was reported in the upright position or when the carrier was installed using the vehicle seat belt. The product continues to comply with UN Regulation 129 in all configurations, including the reclined position. Consumers with an affected seat can obtain a product replacement or a free product update.

Following further assessment and a detailed review of manufacturing traceability information, we have now identified the affected products more precisely. The recall is limited to BABY-SAFE PRO infant carriers containing buckles from the single manufacturing batch identified as associated with the reported result in the testing conducted for Stiftung Warentest.
