Stiftung Warentest is the leading German consumer organisation and foundation, considered to be a test leader in Europe. The organisation carries out independent comparisons of products and services and also educates consumers on economic, health and environmental matters. The equivalent organisation in the UK is Which? and in France “quoi choisir”.

ÖKOTEST
Öko-Test (Eco-test) is a German consumer magazine that focuses on ecological topics. The magazine tests up to 1,000 products a month at independent laboratories and the range of products tested includes items for everyday life – from baby comforters, mineral water, washing powder, all kinds of hardware to insurance.

Kind+Jugend Innovation Award
Kind + Jugend is the largest international trade fair for baby and children’s products (including carriages, pushchairs, car seats and fashion) and is held annually in Cologne. The Kind + Jugend Innovation Award is given to the most innovative baby product. Winners are selected by a jury of leading experts in infant health and safety, and representatives from well respected international trade media prior to the fair.

BPA Baby & Child
The Baby Products Association plays an active role in the development of baby products’ standards and encourages new product development and innovation. The BPA holds an annual trade exhibition in the UK at which Baby & Child Recognition Awards (BACRAs) are awarded to recognise the latest and most innovative products.

Mother & Baby is a pregnancy and parenting magazine for modern mums. Every month it provides advice on every aspect of pregnancy, parenting and baby’s health. Every year Mother & Baby holds its independent awards with magazine readers testing a wide range of products that are available on the market.
